Phase I of the Wichita Biomedical Campus 鈥 a $300 million, 471,000-square-foot joint health sciences center in the heart of downtown Wichita 鈥 is making steady progress as it prepares to transform and redefine health care education and research in Kansas. The campus will combine WSU鈥檚 College of Health Professions programs, including its Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic, WSU Tech鈥檚 Health Professions programs and the Wichita campuses of KU School of Medicine and KU School of Pharmacy 鈥 all into one location.

小9直播 has launched the Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine and Assistive Technology (IRMAT), an innovative collaboration focused on addressing disease and disability through applied research and technology. The groundbreaking collaboration brings together 小9直播鈥檚 College of Health Professions, College of Engineering, and Industry and Defense Programs, along with inaugural clinical partners Ascension Via Christi鈥檚 Rehabilitation Hospital, Heartspring鈥檚 Outpatient Services and the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center.

WSU's College of Health Professions and Ascension Via Christi's Wichita hospitals have created a strategic initiative to provide a critical pipeline of qualified health care professionals to the region. Ascension Via Christi's hospitals will provide office and classroom space to WSU's School of Nursing and School of Health Sciences, expanding students鈥 access to health care professionals in the hospital setting. The partnership aims to help fuel the pipeline of trained health care professionals and enhance professional growth opportunities for Ascension Via Christi associates and WSU students.
