Minors in Sport and Leadership Studies
What is a minor?
A minor is a small grouping of classes that provide some focus on a topic.Let's say you think your major will be in healthcare, engineering, sportmanagement, graphic art, sociology, education, athletic training, orchemistry. A minor simply helps you develop additional skills so you can bean impactful contributor in whatever field you decide to pursue aftergraduation.
The minor in equity and ethics provides foundational knowledge for working with employees, colleagues and/or community members. It consists of 12 credit hours.
The minor in esports management provides basic sport management best-practices in order to prepare students from other majors with the foundational skills to develop events or other forms of esports-centric programming. The minor consists of 12 credit hours of sport management courses.
The minor in organizational leadership and learning providesfoundational knowledge for working with employees, colleaguesand/or community members. It consists of 12 credit hours.
The sport management minor provides minimum knowledge forcareers in the sport industry. It consists of 15 credit hours from sportmanagement courses.
The minor in student organization leadership provides foundationalknowledge, industry best-practices, and leadership development forthose involved in student organizations. It consists of 12 credithours.
A minor in wellness provides students the multidisciplinary andfoundational skills needed to better understand the complexconcept of wellness. The minor consists of 12 credit hours ofcourses drawn from a variety of departments or programs, such ascounseling, human performance studies, sociology and leadership
Certificates in Sport and Leadership Studies
What is a certificate?
Certificates are a group of courses that address a special topic鈥攅quippingyou with additional knowledge and skills that complement your graduatedegree and help boost your career. Our certificates are smaller than fulldegree programs and usually range from 12-15 credit hours per certificate.
UNDERGRADUATE
Undergraduate students seeking to enroll in courses for a certificate program must be admitted to 凯撒皇宫棋牌. Students may be in either degree or non-degree status. International students may enroll in certificate programs, but must maintain compliance with their visa requirements. Interested students should contact the coordinator of the certificate program (Mark Vermillion, PhD, mark.vermillion@wichita.edu).
GRADUATE
The Organizational Learning graduate certificate (15 credit hours)provides professionals with the knowledge, tools and best practicesassociated with supporting, designing or implementing professionaldevelopment and/or learning programs for adults within organizational settings.
