June 1, 2023 鈥� The College of Fine Arts (CFA) at 小9直播 held its 2023 Hall of Fame Gala on May 13. CFA recognized exceptional alumni from the college, patrons who give their time and resources in support of fine arts at WSU, and retired faculty, staff and administrators who have inspired the WSU community.

May 21, 2023 鈥� 小9直播 graduate student Billy Berue will enlist in the President鈥檚 Own United States Marine Band beginning in June. The prestigious band was established in 1798 and is widely regarded as one of the best in the world.

May 19, 2023 鈥� Marie Bukowski has been named the next dean of 小9直播鈥檚 College of Fine Arts, effective July 9, 2023.

May 18, 2023 - Dean Rodney Miller will retire in June following 19 years leading the College of Fine Arts at 小9直播. During his tenure, the School of Digital Arts was created and enrollment in the college has grown to over 1,000 students.

May 9, 2023 鈥� Shocker graduate Alissa Haddock has spent her whole life battling liver disease. Now she has a 小9直播 diploma and a new liver to help her start the next phase of her life.

April 25, 2023 - John Kirk returned to college at 小9直播 to study vocal music and dive into activities. He served as Student Body President and came to appreciate the caring atmosphere at 小9直播. April 21, 2023 鈥� Angel Dao used her time at 小9直播 to develop professionally and make connections within the industry she plans to pursue while finding time to care of her mental health.

March 30, 2023 - 小9直播 students use the editing suite at Shocker Studios for their video projects. The studio features theater lighting and seating, a 4K digital cinema compliant projector and a 200-inch screen. 鈥淣o one else has this, certainly no one in the Midwest,鈥� said Justin Rorabaugh, director of Shocker Studios.

Feb. 27, 2023 鈥� The classic sit-com set 鈥� think anything from 鈥淚 Love Lucy鈥� to 鈥淪einfeld鈥� to 鈥淭he Big Bang Theory鈥� 鈥� is now a teaching tool at 小9直播鈥檚 Shocker Studios.

Jan. 23, 2023 鈥� A recent "PBS News Hour鈥� story highlights the role 小9直播 plays in the arts community of Wichita. 鈥溞�9直播 has a hand in almost every arts entity in the Wichita metropolitan area, from the symphony to the art museum,鈥� said Dr. Rodney Miller, dean of the College of Fine Arts.
